Compare & Contrast: Obama And Romney Speech
Compare and Contrast: Obama And Romney Speech
In Romney's speech he talked about what Obama hasn't done for the U.S. that he had promised. He spoke of his background and his family. Also, he included what he could do to help america, he mostly spoke of the same subject. He also spoke a lot about president Obama President Obama mentioned Romney in his speech several times, but he spoke of many different subjects. He speech consisted of these following subjects: Tax increases on the rich, education, the future, war, business, and the middle class. Obama had a more diverse speech compared to Romney. Obama also spoke of the things he is going to do for america that could not be done in four years. In my opinion they had really great speeches. In comparison they both spoke of economic problems, family, taxes, jobs and hope for a better future.

Public opinion polls reflection
While doing my public opinion polls I had a
difficult time finding adults who wanted to participate. Many refused to answer
majority of the questions, so it wasn’t helpful at all. I learned that people
are very protective on their views of politics. After I told them the polls
would be anonymous and they were no obligated to answer any questions they weren’t
comfortable answering, they still refused to participate. I was very surprised
at how many people I interviewed were democrats. I was also shocked to find out
how many democrats didn’t know what Obama care was because they seemed to be so
protective of the Democratic Party. Another
thing that shocked me was how, many people thought gay marriage would not be
legal, I would think that people would say it would be legal because it’s very common.
I would be surprised if it did not become legal within the next presidential term.
Something that really bothered me was how people said race/ethnicity will be an
issue in this year’s presidential election, why would it be an issue if we just
had an African American president? I thought by now we would be over the
race/ethnicity issue, we have other things to worry about. Small things like
race/ethnicity hold us back from progressing. I really liked doing the public
opinion polls because I liked hearing what other people have to say on the
issues of America and their view on politics.
